Waffles.fm - Possible *true* Oink Replacement?
Published October 30th, 2007 in Music, Technology Tags: No Tags. From the site:
Waffles.fm is a new torrent tracker, based off of OiNK’s Pink Palace. The tracker will be 100% private, unlike newer alternatives. Registration will be invite-only from day one.
Why? An open tracker or one without ratio requirements has less selection, less quality (e.g. flac), and less community. There are torrents on The Pirate Bay that have been snatches upwards of ten thousand times, with only a couple of people seeding
Holy crap. Sounds like a good deal if it can catch on. The reason I say “true” is because what made OiNK great was its private nature, it’s torrent share ratio, and overall, the incredible community. Lets hope this works out.
Currently there’s a timer on the site counting down (15 hours left…). Is it a trap? Should we bite?
I think I might be desperate enough to experiment. Now who’s willing to shoot me an invite?
